Yes!

Yes.
or do you just care less what others think?
As your confidence grows, it will dwarf what others think. The truth of your absolute knowledge will weed out the small, vague, unfounded doubts of others around you after a few years.
That's my experience and that of many other families with whom I've kept in contact over years.
