Enough to learn

I don't want to make parents feel bad about themselves. I want parents to make decisions that lead them not to have things to feel bad about. Big difference.

from something not so uplifting.)

  1. This also reminds me of a talk (stored on your website) that you gave on parenting peacefully, where you said that getting to where you want to go takes one step at a time. You said that if a person looks across the room at a destination, they shouldn't expect to get there in one leap. I'm an impulsive person at times, but I remember listening to that, thinking, "Okay, I'm doing it. I'm getting there, and it's going well." I can honestly say now that days at a time go by where, as a parent, I have nothing to feel bad about...nothing to lose sleep over...no regrets. I can say with confidence that you've been hugely successful in your goal.

  2. Karen, I love to know these things actually help people. :-)

I'm guessing it's in the Peaceful Parenting recording, maybe?
