A memory, a moment, a hug
Robyn Coburn wrote:
My attitude continues to make the greatest difference to my happiness. Most of my needs are met in joyfully giving and being with my family. Those that are not met that way, are more able to be met when my daughter and husband are already happy and feeling generous. And if I am feeling like I need a break, I can take one in the space of a breath, a memory, a moment, a hug.

Hard paths and soft ones
Some paths are solid and man-made. This one has beautiful tile on the step risers, but few people ever see it.
Some paths are worn into the dirt by animals, like cow trails. Sometimes kids can follow them where adults don't fit.
Other paths are proverbial, mental or imaginary. They lead from one thing to another, and on out of sight.

Food and art
Food can be art, and there is art about food.
Some thing are obvious, like cake decoration, or piemaking. But even when you make a sandwich, it can be cut artfully and arranged nicely on a plate. You could use matching dishes, even if you're only feeding one child.
Aesthetics! Look for beauty, and create a bit of it.
