Simple fun

We just had our 33rd wedding anniversary last week. Someone wished me well on my page and said she hoped we did something fun. I said we had transplanted mint and pulled some weeds (or something), and she said (nicely, joking) she meant MORE fun. But maybe the way to stay happily married for many years is to have fun transplanting mint...

of some of that mint, off season

It's fall, today. In early summer, that mint is thick and happy. We planted it around three or four rocks. Over the years Keith has added more cool rocks.

I love this message so much, and heartily agree! Daylight saving has just begun in NZ, and hubby and I have restarted our evening 'date nights' in the garden. I love this time spent with him!

Thanks again for all you share ❤️

(I have left the name off; I was glad to see it, though!)

  2. I have another story about those rocks and that mint. Little granddaughters balance and walk on the rocks, and if they slip or jump off, the already-sweet scene smells like mint.

Soon they will be too big to think that's fun, but I have the memory, with sight, and laughter, and scent (and a bit of fear on the part of the adults, but so far no injuries).

    Hi Sandra!!

This is such a sweet post - and our anniversary is Oct. 12 - just celebrated 15 years and I agree with the mint!!

    Sending hugs,
    Jennifer
