  1. Kids will always want to succeed (win?) in whatever situations an problems they're faced with.

  2. I would say everyone has a drive to get better at what they enjoy. But that drive can be damaged. And not all kids like to go it alone. Growing up in a supportive atmosphere will be a big help in kids wanting to tackle their problems.
